The vibe is joyful, kind, enthusiastic, supportive, and fun…and nature journalers of ALL experience levels are welcome!

Back by popular demand! Join us for a 6-day, 5-night retreat in beautiful Inverness, California, near Tomales Bay. Immerse yourself in nature journaling, curiosity, and community. Enjoy breathtaking views of the rugged Pacific coastline as we explore the stunning landscape and ecosystem of Point Reyes National Seashore at an especially beautiful time of year for flowers and birds.

Hog Island, Maine

With a rich legacy in American ornithology—home to Roger Tory Peterson’s first birding class and the birthplace of Audubon’s Project Puffin—Hog Island is a fantastic setting to immerse yourself in the world of birds. Explore the region’s stunning beauty through guided bird walks, boat tours, field sketching, and evening speakers. Join us for a 5-day, 4-night nature journaling retreat at the stunning IslandWood Retreat Center on Bainbridge Island, Washington. Set on a peaceful 250-acre wooded campus overlooking Puget Sound, IslandWood is an environmental education nonprofit dedicated to inspiring lifelong environmental and community stewardship. Learn from experienced instructors as we explore this beautiful area through nature journaling hikes and guided experiences.
