Wild Wonder Statement of Community Values and Expectations of Conduct
The Wild Wonder Foundation is committed to inclusivity, respect, and equal opportunity for everyone as we nurture and celebrate a diverse, global community of nature journalers.
All Wild Wonder events and gatherings include expectations of conduct based on this community culture of inclusivity, respect, kindness, and a growth mindset. We nurture a safe, welcoming, joyful, and fun community for all, and so we foster and promote an environment where all interactions allow every community member to feel welcome, safe, and heard.
This means that as a community, we will not tolerate the following behavior in any community platform, gathering, event, or forum (including in-person and online):
Insults or threats
Racist or sexist comments or content
Hate speech
Sexually explicit comments or content
Defamatory comments or content involving race, culture, political views, identification / orientation
Language that is considered socially offensive due to being vulgar or obscene
Other problematic behaviors or comments
The Wild Wonder team reserves the right to ask members to leave our community (including forums, classes, and events—online or in person) for violating our community values. In most instances, we will first communicate with a written warning, but in extreme cases we will ask members to leave immediately and they will be unable to participate in community events in the future.
We appreciate and value this creative and global community. Thank you for doing your part to keep it safe and kind for everyone.
